AR Drawing is not a drawing canvas โ you draw on real paper. Pick a template or one of your own photos, point the camera at your sheet, and the app shows the template on top of the live view. You look at the screen and draw what you see onto the paper underneath.
Prop the phone on a stand so it cannot move, then tap Lock on the drawing screen once the template sits where you want it โ locked, the overlay ignores accidental drags and pinches. If the phone later tilts away from the angle it started at, a Hold the phone flat warning appears; settle it back into position and tap Calibrate to make that the new reference.
No. Importing a photo from your library or taking one in the app is free, and so is turning it into a contour template. Opacity, grid, mirror, freeze, flash, focus lock and the brightness and contrast controls are all free as well.
The free version keeps three saved projects. Once you reach that limit, new sessions are not added automatically โ swipe a finished project left in Projects to delete it, or subscribe to Pro for unlimited projects.
Entirely on your device โ there is no account and nothing is uploaded. The practical consequence: deleting the app deletes your projects, and they cannot be recovered. Export anything you want to keep to your photo library from the share screen first.
Check that camera access is allowed โ open the Settings app, find AR Drawing in the list of apps, and turn Camera on. If another app or a call is using the camera the preview pauses and resumes by itself once it is free; if it failed to start altogether, the drawing screen offers a retry.
The drawing screen runs the camera continuously and keeps the display awake, so some warming is normal โ the app lowers the frame rate on its own when the device gets warm and tells you it did. To keep it cooler from the start, turn on Settings โ Battery saver or pick a lower Frame rate.
Yes โ Settings โ Language, and it applies immediately without restarting. Twenty-eight languages are fully translated.
Exports made without Pro carry a small AR Drawing mark along the bottom edge. Removing it is one of the things a Pro subscription unlocks.
Open Settings โ Restore purchases, signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase. Purchases belong to the Apple Account rather than to the device, so a restore is also what you need after switching phones.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside the app: Settings app โ your name โ Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. Refund requests also go through Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Nothing you draw or import leaves your device. Ads (AdMob) and crash and usage statistics (Firebase) are the only things that talk to a server, and neither ever receives your images โ the full details are in the Privacy Policy.
You can turn off personalised advertising at any time from Settings app โ Privacy & Security โ Tracking. Where local law requires a consent form, the app also offers Settings โ Privacy options to change your advertising consent.
