Privacy Policy
AR Drawing shows a reference image over your camera view so you can trace it onto real paper. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to the AR Drawing app for iPhone and iPad. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Summary
- Your camera view, photos and projects stay on your device. There is no account and no server of ours holding your work, and nothing you import, draw or export is ever included in analytics or crash reports.
- Ads and analytics use limited technical data. Standard services from Google and Apple keep the app running, free and improving.
- Personalised ads require your permission, and can be turned off at any time.
- You stay in control of permissions, saved projects and your subscription.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Camera
With your permission, AR Drawing uses the rear camera to show a live view with your chosen template on top of it. The image is processed on your device in real time and only displayed — it is not stored, transmitted or examined. A file is written only when you deliberately take a photo, export a drawing, or record a time-lapse, and that file stays on your device unless you choose to share it.
2.2 Photos
If you import a photo from your library or take one in the app, it is converted into a tracing template on your device. The app does not browse, index or upload your photo library. Separate permission is asked for saving exports back to your library, and only for that purpose.
2.3 Content you create
Saved projects — the reference image, its position and adjustments, the project name and its status — are stored locally on your device. We do not receive a copy.
2.4 Information collected automatically
Like most apps, AR Drawing uses third-party services that automatically receive limited technical and usage information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language and region, pseudonymous identifiers, app opens, screens viewed, features used, and crash and performance diagnostics. This information is not used to identify you personally, and it never includes your images or drawings.
2.5 Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. The app receives only whether an active subscription exists, so it can unlock Pro features. We never receive your name, address or payment card details. Our analytics record that a purchase was started, completed, failed or restored, together with the identifier of the subscription plan — never anything that identifies you.
2.6 Information you send us
If you email support, we receive the message and whatever you choose to include in it, and we use it only to answer you.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide the app's features — displaying the overlay, adjusting and positioning templates, saving and reopening projects on your device.
- To export and share drawings and time-lapse videos at your request.
- To enable purchases and subscriptions and confirm what you are entitled to.
- To show advertising to users without a subscription and, where permitted, measure how it performs.
- To diagnose crashes, fix bugs and improve stability, performance and features.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and to protect against fraud, abuse and security incidents.
4. Legal Bases (EEA / UK)
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — handling your purchase and keeping your Pro subscription unlocked, and answering support requests you send us.
- Consent — personalised advertising, cross-app tracking and, where required, analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 10).
- Legitimate interests — crash and stability reporting, security and fraud prevention, balanced against your rights. Crash reports carry no images and no account data, and you can object to this processing at any time.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to process information.
5. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your images or projects with anyone for their own marketing. Information is shared only in these situations:
- Service providers — the companies listed in Section 6, which process limited technical data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own policies.
- At your direction — when you export or share a drawing or time-lapse, it goes to the destination and the recipients you pick.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, legal process or a government request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of users, the public or us.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with this Policy continuing to apply to the transferred information.
6. Third-Party Services
AR Drawing uses the following services. Each handles data under its own privacy policy, which we recommend reading:
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) — usage statistics, crash reporting and feature configuration. Firebase privacy · Google Privacy Policy
- Google AdMob — advertising shown to users without a Pro subscription. How AdMob uses data
- Apple — in-app purchases, subscriptions and App Store services. Apple Privacy Policy
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these companies, and this Policy does not apply to any other app or website you may reach from an advertisement.
7. Retention
- On your device: photos, projects and recordings remain until you delete them in the app or delete the app itself.
- Analytics and diagnostics: retained by our providers for a limited period under their standard retention settings; aggregated or anonymised information may be kept indefinitely.
- Support emails: kept only as long as needed to resolve your request and to keep a record of it.
8. Security
We apply reasonable safeguards and rely on the protections built into iOS and into our providers' systems. Because your content stays on your device, its security depends largely on your device: we recommend a passcode or biometric lock. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by law.
9. International Transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, those transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, an adequacy decision, or another lawful transfer mechanism put in place by the provider.
10. Your Rights and Choices
You can exercise most choices directly on your device:
- Camera and photo access: grant or revoke at any time from the app's own entry in the iOS Settings app. The overlay needs camera access; the rest of the app works without it.
- Your content: delete individual projects in the app, or delete the app to remove everything stored locally.
- Tracking: allow or decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and change your answer later under Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking.
- Advertising consent: where local law requires a consent form, the app offers Settings ▸ Privacy options to review or change it.
- Ads altogether: a Pro subscription removes advertising from the app.
- Subscriptions: manage or cancel under your Apple Account, at Settings ▸ Subscriptions.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to receive a copy of it, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Under the EU and UK GDPR these rights apply to residents of the EEA and the UK. Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents may request access and deletion, may opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, and will not be treated differently for exercising those rights — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.
For any request beyond what the app already lets you do yourself, write to us at the address in Section 13 and we will respond within the time the law allows.
11. Children's Privacy
AR Drawing is not directed to children under 13, or under the equivalent minimum age where you live, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When a change is material, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, give notice inside the app. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
13. Contact
For questions, requests or complaints about this Policy or your personal information, contact us. The developer of AR Drawing is the controller responsible for the processing described here.

Use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
